Detective Mike Tanguma

Mike Tanguma is a detective with the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS). Mike earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Justice Studies from Arizona State University in 1993. In 1995, Mike began his career with the DPS Highway Patrol Division. In 2007, he transferred to the Special Investigations Unit where he is currently assigned. Mike is responsible for investigating DPS Critical Incidents (incidents involving a DPS employee resulting in death or serious physical injury), criminal cases involving department personnel, public-official misconduct, and other agency requests to investigate their officer-involved shootings and assist with their homicide investigations.

Mike has been a member of the AHIA since 2007.
