Detective Matthew Murray

Matthew Murray has 19 years with the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Detective Murray worked four years in the DPS Highway Patrol Division before transferring to the DPS Criminal Investigations Division.

Detective Murray was assigned to a General Investigations squad and several multi-agency narcotic and violent crimes task forces. In 2004 Murray transferred to the DPS Special Investigations Unit where he is currently assigned to investigate DPS critical incidents, officer-involved shootings and gross public-official misconduct.

Detective Murray became a member of the AHIA in the late 1990's, was elected to the AHIA Board of Directors in 2006, and became the AHIA Treasurer in 2012.
